was born and raised in Detroit, Michigan and is a graduate of
Kendall College of Art & Design. She has been the principal
designer of her own a graphic design firm in Gardiner, Maine
for over 20 years.
From an early age
she sought out creative activities, and a love of drawing. Continuing
to develop her skills with painting, experimenting with oils
and watercolors. The past few years she has concentrated on acrylics
which seem to suit her style well. Especially the vibrant colors
that can be attained with acrylics.
Even though Christine's
paintings are traditional they reflect her background and interest
in graphics, whether a simple still life or an elaborate landscape.
The quick drying time of acrylics allows her to move along and
not belabor or overwork a painting, keeping it fresh.
about emotion, study, thought and perseverance. When I paint
I try to recapture my initial reaction to a time, place or moment.
