Roberta Sprague was
born and raised in a quiet suburb of New York City and moved
to Maine shortly after receiving her BFA from Syracuse University
School of Art in 1970. She became interested in special needs
children while sharing art with them, and, as a result, worked
with children with communication disorders for many years. At
the same time, Roberta continued to make and sell her own art.
She currently has
work available at Chapter Two in Corea, Maine, Spruce & Gussey
in Bar Harbor, Eclectia in Southwest Harbor, and Sage Moon Apothecary
& Curiosities in Ellsworth as well as in her home gallery,
Sprague Studio. She has work on display as part of the Davistown
Museums Maine Artist Guild.
She and her husband
live on Mount Desert Island.
